My painting of twilight in the desert.
The Swinging Pendulum And Its Elusive Equilibrium
Unforgiving heat,
in a lifeless land.
Stretching beyond the horizon,
an endless sea of sand.
The blinding light,
a harsh intense white,
transforms to pin pricks,
piercing the dark freezing night.
In between, briefly,
comes the gentle twilight,
a mellow symphony of colors
an aristic delight.
Savor the transition
between extremes,
for the calm of moderation
is as fleeting as dreams.
The pendulum swings,
fastest past equilibrium,
teasing with a glimpse ,
of the elusive Elysium.
A permanent Elysium,
an absurd contradiction,
for a stagnant paradise,
would be a den of vice.
Change is the only way,
forward to a new day.
Tackling harsh days and nights,
for fleeting glimpses of blissful twilights.
Savor the soft moment
as if it were eternity,
for the next battle begins ...
Momentarily ...
