Too many cat naps make you fat!
As a mom of two kids, I'm perpetually sleep deprived. Many of you probably identify with me. Sleep deprivation weakens the immune system, increases the risk of weight gain and type 2 diabetes.
Sleep helps our body rest and recover and refreshes us. But apparently you can have too much of a good thing. Just like sleep deprivation prevents your body from functioning optimally, so does over sleeping. Over sleeping too can cause weight gain and obesity.
So when it comes to sleeping we need to be in the Goldilocks zone, not too much and not too little, just right. Nina and Nana will tell you.
